Tournament Practices

Thursday night at 6:15 there will be an hour long combined practice with Varsity and JV to prepare for the upcoming Brazos Valley Tournament. Each player should bring to practice a check made payable to NYTEX for $30 to cover ice time for 2 nights of practice. The SCHA will be covering costs for 2 additional practices.

  Code of Conduct Review

Coach Knute will be reviewing the Code of Conduct with the boys and asking them to sign it again, confirming that they understand and agree to abide by the requirements or accept the consequences, which will be severe.  The Codes of Conduct for players and parents can be found on our website (southlakehockey.com) under "documents & forms."

Clearly we have the best group of kids out there.  At the same time, we parents are not naive enough to think that none of these great kids might test the rules (especially "use of alcohol" and "vandalism") on an out of town trip.  Families choosing to allow their sons to share a room without an adult present are encouraged to remind these boys that the parent paying for their hotel room will be legally responsible for any property damages.

We expect to return to Southlake with both trophies and our good reputation!

  Banquet Tickets

Before heading to College Station, be sure to buy your banquet tickets. This year's "Fire and Ice" banquet will be Sunday, May 5th at the Town Square Hilton Ballroom from 6-9pm.  Players attend free of charge and the cost for guests (parents, siblings, dates) is $45 per person through April 15 and $50 until April 22.  You can order on line using a credit card or send a check payable to SCHA by April 15 to our Treasurer, John Guarino at 1805 Rustling Brook Court, Southlake, TX 76092

  Junior Varsity

Congratulations to our JV Dragons on a great season! Finishing strong, they earned a playoff spot and defeated Highland Park 3-2 in the quarter-finals before falling to McKinney 1-3.  McKinney went on to win the JV Silver Championship.
